Final Fantasy 10

In-game reset:
Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start + Select during game play.

Hint: Overdrives:
Auron: Find different Jeckt Spheres laying about the world. Some of these will give Auron a new Overdrive. You need to find all ten to get Auron's final overdrive.
Kimari: Use the Dragon Sword ability to drain HP and MP from the enemy. If the enemy has a Blue magic skill that Kimari can learn, he will gain it automatically. The only one that is difficult to get is "Sunshine", which you obtain from the Omega Weapon.
Lulu: Rotate the Right Analog-stick clockwise as fast as possible. The number will go up the more you rotate it. The more you level Lulu up, the easier it is to cast multiple spells.
Rikku: Rikku's overdrive combines items to create special attacks and power-ups during battle. You have to choose any two items to combine. Note: Two of the same kind will work.
Tidus: Just keep using them over and over. After a while, he will learn his next Overdrive.
Wakka: You can win new overdrive roulette (slots) types in the Blitzball Ranking and Tournament modes.

Hint: Easy full Overdrive:
Activate the tutorial console and select "Fiend Info". As the battle goes on, call an Aeon. When the Overdrive gauge is full, use an attack other than the Overdrive. After the battle ends, you Overdrive gauge will be full.

Go to Monster Arena in the Calm Lands. Buy weapons with the Capture ability. Capture all monsters from all areas, then go back to the arena and talk to the man. He will give you a lot of items, then he will say that he has created a monster. He will ask if you want to fight it for free. Answer "Yes". The monster is called Catastrophe. When you fight, it will release an attack called Poison Breath. It will do over 10,000 damage and all of your characters that are fighting will die. However, your Overdrive will either be full or very close to being full.

Go to the Monster Arena in the Calm Lands. Set all your party members' Overdrives to "Stoic". Preferably, battle a created monster that can easily kill a party member with one hit. Have at least Auron and Yuna in your party if you do not want waste a lot of gil. Have Auron use Guard on Yuna and have Yuna use Life on party members. Then, switch the party members until each one has been killed.

Note: You must have the Slayer Overdrive and the airship in order to do this trick. To get very easy Overdrives, set the designated character to Overdrive mode Slayer. Then, fly to Besaid or Djose Road. Battle the fiends there. They hopefully will be easy for you to defeat, and you will get your overdrive faster.

Use the airship to go to Guadosalam. The Inn you are in will have a Tutorial Monitor. Select "Fiend Info" and battle Iron Giant. Call all of your Aeons and have them use Boost. The Iron Giant will miss every time. Then, use your characters to kill it. In five minutes you will have all Aeon Overdrives full.

Note: Equip the Victory Overdrive ability and Double Overdrive. Fly to Besaid in the airship and fight. You should have all your Overdrives in about two battles.

Set the Overdrive to "Stoic" and go to the Monster Arena. Fight Master Tonberry. When the fight starts, hit Master Tonberry with the person whose Overdrive you want to fill. The Overdrive should be filled in one hit. You will most likely die when he counterattacks.

If you want to get Tidus' Blitz Ace Overdrive, have him in the party almost every time you kill the last monster. You should eventually get the Victor Overdrive mode, which puts in one fifth of your Overdrive gauge after every battle. Then, go to a location, such as Besaid, and fight enemies. Kill them quickly. The Overdrive will charge up five battles later.

Set your Overdrive mode on Warrior. You must have the Break Damage Limit ability and Ultima magic. If your magic status is more than 200 or is 255, fight with three or more enemies in a battle. Use Ultima at the start of the battle. Your Overdrive gauge will rise very high.

When against fighting the Magic Urn in the Cave Of Stolen Fayth, just defend. It will not attack you. However, you will have to set your Overdrive to "Ally".

Hint: Kimarhi's Overdrives:

Jump: Standard
Seed Cannon: Ragora species (Kilika Woods)
Aqua Breath: Biran and Yenke Ronso (Mt. Gagazet), Chimera species (Macalania Woods, Home, Calm Lands, Monster Arena)
Stone Breath: Biran and Yenke Ronso (Mt. Gagazet), Basilisk species (Djose Highroad)
Bad Breath: Malboro species (Calm Lands, Omega Ruins
Thrust Kick: YKT species(Bevelle, Zanarkand Ruins)
White Wind: Biran and Yenke Ronso (Mt. Gagazet), Dark Flan (Mt. Gagazet Caves)
Mighty Guard: Behemoth species (Zanarkand, Sin, Monster arena)
Fire Breath: Biran and Yenke Ronso (Mt. Gagazet), Dual Horn (Mi'ihen Highroad)
Self Destruct: Bomb species(Airship, Mi'ihen Highroad, Mt. Gagazet, Omega Ruins)
Doom: Biran and Yenke Ronso (Mt. Gagazet), Ghost species (Cavern of the Stolen Fayth)

Nova: From Omega Weapon.
Nova can also be learned from Nemesis in the Monster Arena after catching ten of every monster in the game and defeating each monster arena creations.

Hint: Valefor's immunities:
Being a flying Aeon has an advantage as many enemies cannot hit her. The following list shows which creatures cannot harm Valefor: Bandersnatch, Basilisk, Bunyip, Cave Iguion, Demonolith, Dingo, Dinonix, Dual Horn, Epaaj, Garm, Grendel, Halma, Iguion, Ipiria, Klikk, Machea, Mafdet, Melusine, Mi'ihen Fang, Murussu, Raldo, Raptor, Sand Wolf, Shred, Skoll, Snow Wolf, Swamp Mafdet, Xiphos, Yowie, Zaurus.

Hint: Hidden Aeons:

Yojimbo
Go to the path that leads under the bridge after you defeat Defender X. Go under the bridge and into The Cavern Of Stolen Fayth. Keep going until you see a Summoner and you end up fighting her Aeon. Call out Bahamut and kill Yojimbo. Then when you do go straight into the Chamber of Fayth and talk to the man, select "To defeat the strongest enemies". For your first bid, offer half of his offer plus one gil (for example, if he offers 250,000 gil, offer 150,001 gil). By the time he proposes 205,000 gil, he will generally accept any offer below 200,000 gil. Any lower than 195,000 gil, and he will not accept.

Anima
Find the hidden Baaj Temple with the Airship. Run up the familiar path and dive into the water. Then, prepare to finally defeat Geosgaeno, and swim toward the underwater temple entrance. After defeating Geosgaeno, swim north into the temple entrance. Enter the Chamber of Fayth and approach the six statues on either side. There is one hidden item in each of the Six Cloyster Of Trials. By now you must have about five. Fly back to Zanarkand and enter the dome. Once there, a new puzzle solution is displayed on-screen. Step on three white squares in the first room, and four in the larger chamber. This opens a panel in the first room, revealing a Destruction Sphere. Place the Destruction Sphere into the slot to the right of the monitor in the large chamber and the screen will explode. Collect the Magistral Rod, and return to the Baaj Temple. The six statues will now resonate with the items you have collected, allowing you to enter the Chamber of Fayth.

You do not need to go to every temple to get Anima. If you skipped the treasure in Beville, go to Zanarkand Dome instead. Once there, solve the second puzzle to get the last treasure.

The Magus Sisters
Capture all of the required fiends on Mt. Gagazet and return to the monster arena owner in the Calm Lands. As a reward, he gives you the Blossom Crown. You must also posses all the other Aeons including Yojimbo and Anima. Next, go to the Reniem Temple in the Calm Lands. After you defeat Spathi, Belgemine will give you the Flower Scepter. After defeating all of the Aeons at Reniem Temple, use the Blossom Crown and the Flower Sceptor on the door in the back to unseal it and acquire the Magus Sisters

Note: You do not need to defeat all summons (Aeons) to obtain the Flower Scepter. When you first reach the Calm Lands, go to Reniem Temple by using the Chocobo and Chocobo Feathers on the ground at the southeastern part of the map on the hill. Defeat all summons in the temple. You will only be able to fight up to Bahumat. as you will not have accessed any other summons. After defeating Bahumat, you will obtain the Flower Scepter.

Hint: Dark Aeon locations:
The Dark Aeons can only be fought in the International versions of the game.

Dark Valefor: Entrance to Besaid Village with airship.

Dark Ifrit: Al-Bhed Home after it has been destroyed.

Dark Ixion: Monk at Thunder Plains.

Dark Shiva: Return to Malaclania Temple.

Dark Bahamut: Return to where you fight Yunalesaca with the airship. Get the Sun Sigil before leaving, as you most likely never defeat Dark Bahumat if you return later to collect it.

Dark Yojimbo: Cave of Stolen Fayth

Dark Anima: Mount Gagazet; redo the challenge in which Wakka had to throw a ball at the revolving thing, then teleport back to the entrance to Mount Gagazet. Dark Anima will be there waiting for you

Dark Magus Sisters: - Mushroom Rock, from exit of Mi'ihen Highroad. Walk until you encounter two summoners. An intermission sequence will start, then the combat.

Special Aeon (Penance): Unlocked when all Dark Aeons are defeated.

Hint: Defeating Dark Aeons:
Use Yojimbo, and give him large amounts of money until he does Zanmato. This may require a few attempts.

You should have Yojimbo, and place Tidus, Yuna and Rikku up front. Give Yuna a weapon with Firststrike, then Grand Summon Yojimbo, Pay him 50,000 gil or more, and he will do Zanmato. This kills anything instantly, except for Sin.

Hint: Defeating your Aeons:
Make sure you have Holy with Yuna. Once you run out of Holy, use one of your Aeons. Make sure they are not fainted. If they are, use Rikku's Overdrive. Mix four Level Key Spheres or use three Stars (you get it from the Monster Arena owner once you get the Magus Sisters. Once he gives you Blossom Crown, talk to him again. Also make sure you have Mega Potions.

Hint: Easy Aeon healing:
Instead of bothering to have one of your Aeons learn any of the cure spells, try this. For the elemental Aeons (Ifrit, Shiva, Ixion, etc.), try using a spell that corresponds with their element (Ifrit: Fire, Shiva: Blizzard, Ixion: Thunder). This heals them much more than if you did any cure spell You can also try the advanced spells (Fira, Blizzara, etc.).

Hint: Aeons and legendary weapons:
Although it may seem as if your legendary weapons are weak and useless, get all of them and your Aeons will have a normal attack of 9999.

Hint: Quick healing and restoration:
Every time you save the game at a save point, it will completely heal all the party members, revive all summons and completely heal MP.

Hint: Low MP spells:
Equip items with the one MP ability and Magic Booster. This makes each spell cast cost one MP, and Magic Booster makes the damage x1.5 for double the MP. Then, double cast these spells for a cost of only 4 MP.

If you do not have 1 MP or Half MP abilities, use the following trick to use considerably less MP for maximum damage. Have one person with Doublecast and Ultima, and everyone (including the one with Doublecast and Ultima) with Copycat. Doublecast Ultima (180 MP), then have everybody use Copycat (28 MP). After the first 180 MP, it will only cost 28 MP to Doublecast Ultima.

Hint: Hidden ending:
After defeating Yu Yevon and the FMV sequence begins, allow all the credits to complete. You will see spirits start to gather, like the orbs before Jecht and it will show Tidus swimming to the top of the lake Yuna was looking towards at the end.

Hint: Speak perfect Al Bhed at the start:
Play through and collect all the Al Bhed Primers, then save the game. Start a new game. At the point where Tidus first arrives in Spira, he is in the water with a bird on it. When he can move, swim over to the left of the screen. Over on that side is an Al Bhed Compilation Sphere. Make sure that you have the same memory card in that your first game was saved to. Touch the sphere and have it compile the Al Bhed dictionary. Check your key items. You will now find that you have every single Al Bhed Primer that you found in your first game. If you found all 26 of them, you will be speaking perfect Al Bhed, even before meeting Rikku for the first time. Note: If this is done, all the Al Bhed Primers will disappear from the "new" game, as you will already have them. Also, you can roam and get every single Primer in the game except for XXII, which is in the Temple Of Bevelle -- If you did not get it the first time around, you will have to wait until you can get it in the second game. All other Primers can be found at any time in the game.

Hint: Defeating Al Bhed gunner:
Have Tidus, Auron, and Kimarhi up front. Have Tidus use Cheer ten times or more. Have Auron attack, and Kimarhi heal with Hi-Potions.

Hint: Defeating Anima:
Summon Yuna's new Aeon ???? (Shiva) and attack normally. Heal with her Ice spells on herself. When her Overdrive is full, it should kill Anima. Alternately, use Yuna's Overdrive Grand Summon on Shiva, then just attack a few times.

Hint: Defeating Behemoth Kings:
If you have a weapon with "Capture" equipped and manage to use it in the finishing hit, the Behemoth King will not do his "Meteor" counter-attack before dying. Note: Also add the "Sensor" ability to the same weapon too.

Hint: Defeating Biran:
When fighting Biran and Yenke with Kimahri, use Lancet on each of them a few times. You should get a few Ronso Rages. Use Lancet again after Biran has used Mighty Guard to also obtain it.

Hint: Defeating Braska's final Aeon:
Use Yuna to summon all her Aeons. Use their Overdrives to defeat its first form. To defeat its second form, use Magus Sisters and keep doing their specials. When it is Overdrive time for Magus Sisters, use it. This battle is not to difficult. Also use Kimahri's Zombie Break attack on it to inflict Zombie on it.

Summon three Aeons first for the first form. For the second form, summon two Aeons. Then just use Zombie attack on him and use Curaga with yuna. Next, use Quick Hit with Tidus. Use the strongest person to remain alive and Phoenix Down Tidus or Yuna. Note: You must have your strongest weapons equipped.

Make sure everyone in your party (except for Kimahri) is equipped with their legendary weapon at full power. Have Auron start the fight with his Overdrive Banishing Blade. This will increase the amount of damage you can do to him. Then, have Tidus cast Hastega. If one of your characters should get Petrified, immediately use a Soft. Have Yuna doublecast Ulima. That should do about 12,000 damage per casting. Then, have Tidus use Quick Hit. It should do about 13,500 damage to the Aeon. Next, have Yuna doublecast Ultima again and the Aeon should transform. If it does not, keep attacking it until it does. After it transforms, switch Auron for Rikku and use her overdrive Mix and combine two Gambler's Spirits. On Tidus' next turn, have him use Blit Ace. Then, have Yuna summon the Magus Sisters and unleash their Overdrive. Then, dismiss them. On Yuna's next turn, have her Grand Summon the Magus Sisters and use their Overdrive again. Finally, have Rikku attack the Aeon to finish it off.

First, go to Omega Ruins, defeat Ultima Weapon, but steal 10 to 20 Doors To Tomorrow first. On the Aeon's first form, get Rikku's Overdrive, make her mix two Doors To Tomorrow (Trio of 9999) and have Tidus and Auron with her in battle at the time. Keep Auron, Rikku and Tidus alive throughout the entire battle. On the second form, have Lulu Doublecast Ultima to start of the battle, then bring back Tidus, Auron and Rikku. While they do 9999 damage, they will also heal for 9999 (have 99 Al Bhed or Mega-Potions on hand).

Use Yojimbo's Overdrive to instantly kill the Boss.

Hint: Defeating Cactuars:
Provoke Cactuars them with Tidus, then attack with Wakka. If Wakka is not strong enough to kill the Cactuar with one hit, you will probably have to revive Tidus.

Hint: Defeating Cactuar King:
Note: This trick requires a strong Anima (over 12,000 HP) and Tidus' Blitz Ace Overdrive. Before entering battle, get Anima and Tidus into Overdrive. Also, have a few Phoenix Downs. When entering battle, it is easier to summon Anima and use its Overdrive first. Then, once Anima is killed or you dismiss it, use Tidus' Blitz Ace (get a Great). If this does not kill it, use Bahamut's Impulse or another powerful attack that does not easily miss.

Hint: Defeating the Crawler Machina:
Make sure that Rikku's Overdrive gauge is almost full and you have an Arctic Wind equipped. Have Auron, Rikku, and any other character out on the battlefield. Do not destroy the Magic Blocker that the Machina sends out. That prevents the Machina from using Mana Beam. Instead, have Rikku steal from the Machina to get a Lunar Curtain. Have the next two characters in your party attack. When Rikku's overdrive gauge is full, have her mix the Arctic Wind and the Lunar Curtain. This will cast Haste and Shell on your party. It also puts a shield around you. Also, your party will regain health after you are attacked by the Machina.

Crawler Machina has 16,000 HP. Hit him down to 13,000 HP then kill the monitor next to it with Rikku's Grenade or Arctic Wind. Make sure you have Velefor, Ifrit, and Ixion's Overdrive up. Start by using Velefor's Overdrive, then Ifrit's followed by Ixion's. By the time you have used their Overdrives Crawler Machina should be down at least 1,000 HP. Also have Rikku's Overdrive at the start of the battle to make it easier.

Hint: Defeating Defender Z:
To defeat Defender Z in Zanarkand Ruins, you need Tidus' Provoke. Use Provoke, and after that just attack normally with other party members. After being provoked, the only thing he will do is a Blast Punch attack to Tidus, and it will not kill him. It will only damage half of Tidus' HP on every attack.

Hint: Defeating Evrae Altana:
Use two or three Phoenix Downs on it to kill it instantly when underwater.

Use an X-Potion for a one hit kill while fighting him underwater. This does not work on the airship.

When on the airship, you will face Evrae for the first time. He is intimidating with his poison breath and big size. At the start of the fight, try to get Rikku in. Her normal attacks are weak against him, even grenades. However, if you teach her Spare Change and work up a lot of money, you can actually defeat him with at least three hits from Rikku with money and Tidus and Auron attacking regularly. This will result in an easier battle and quicker ends. However, be ready for the next few batches of battles afterwards at the wedding.

Hint: Defeating the Holy Ground Dragon:
In the fight with the dragon immediately before you get to the Zanarkand Ruins, cast Reflect on him. If you do not have the Reflect spell yet, you can steal a Star Curtain from an Mandagora using Rikku. They are in the cave immediately before the fight. Then, use that item on the dragon. He will no longer be able to heal himself or use Protect.

Hint: Defeating Iron Clad:
Have Tidus, Yuna, and Auron with their best weapons and Overdrive on Victor. Fight a Dingo twice at the Monster Trainer to get Overdrives maxed. Fight Iron Clad with Celestial Weapons maxed out. Use Auron's Overdrive Banishing Blade. This causes Armor Break. This is important, as it always works unlike the normal Armor Break which only has a 5% chance of working. Then. use Tidus' Overdrive Blitz Ace. This should do 99,999 damage every hit because of Banishing Blade. Next, use Yuna's Overdrive to Grand Summon Anima. Use Anima's Overdrive to finish off Iron Clad with an overkill and get 2 HP Spheres.

Hint: Defeating Nemesis:
At the start of the battle, summon Yojimbo. Pay as much as you can (about 10,000,000 or more gil). If he uses Zanmato, he will instantly kill Nemesis even if his HP is about 10,000,000.

Hint: Defeating Omega Weapon:
Use Kimahri to use Lancet. He will learn the Overdrive Nova. Use Nova and get Yuna to summon Magus Sisters. Use their Overdrive, then use there special attacks which are Passado, Razzai, and Camiside. Keep doing this until Omega Weapon is defeated. Use same strategy on Ultima Weapon.

Hint: Defeating the Sanctuary Keeper:
Have Yuna cast Reflect on the creature. Then have your highest hit point character hack away at it. It will still cast the Cure and Regen spells, but with Reflect it will be healing the party instead of itself.

Get your Overdrives full on every character and Aeon. Next, cast Reflect on the Boss. Every time he uses curing magic, it will heal the party. Then, use Kimari's Mighty Guard and summon your best Aeon (Ixion then Shiva recommended). Magic is useless in this battle because the Boss has high magic defense. It also does a bad move that inflicts lots of bad status effects (even death). This is a fairly easy battle if you have over 3,000 HP and a good defense. You should also have over 5 X-Potions, 10 Phoenix Downs, some Ethers, good curing magic, and Regain, Shell, and Protect.

Start the fight with Tidus, Yuna and Auron. Cast Hastega and Protect on everyone and use Auron's armor and Mental Break attacks against the creature. After breaking its defense , switch Auron for different fighters. Remember to cast Haste and Protect on each new party member you switch in. Cast Reflect on the creature, then summon Aeons that are already in Overdrive mode. Each Aeon will only get one shot because the Sanctuary Keeper will use Mana Breath to eliminate them. After the Keeper loses half its HP, it will use Curaga on itself. However, if you cast Curaga on it one of your party members will receive a well deserved reward and the creature will receive nothing. Beware of this Boss' attack pattern. It starts with Photon Wings, then two regular attacks, Mana Breath, then two Curagas. It will also sometimes counter with a Tail Sweep. It is important to protect your party from status affects -- equip them with armor that protects them from Sleep, Silence, Darkness and Confusion.

Hint: Defeating Seymour 1:
In the first fight with Seymour, have Rikku steal from the two guards. This will stop them from using Auto-Potion. Seymour will call Anima, and an Overdrive gauge will appear in front of him. Attack and watch the gauge, When it is almost full, have Yuna call one of her Aeons to take the hit from Anima's Overdrive. Repeat this as needed. After defeating Anima, Seymour will start casting multiple spells. Use Yuna to heal you party, and have the rest attack.

When you fight Seymour for the first time, and after he summons Anima, you will have to fight just him. Seymour's magic attacks follow the exact pattern of Ice, Thunder, Water, and Fire. Therefore if you have Yuna cast her Nu-spells, you will not get hurt at all.

Scan Seymour with Sensor, then click on Seymour and see what order he casts his magic in. When you have learned this order, have Yuna cast the NulShields in the same order and he will never hit you. Every time you try to hit Seymour, one of his Guado Guards will jump in your way, and every time you hit a Guado Guard, he heals himself. To take out the two Guado Guards, use Rikku and your best hitter. Have Rikku to steal from one of the Guards and then have your best hitter attack that Guado Guard. You will get one Hi-Potion and the Guado Guard will not heal. When the Guards are dead and Seymour has exceeded his life, he summons Anima, an Aeon. You have seen Anima at the Blitzball Tournament. Use Yuna to summon the "????" Aeon, whom is Shiva. Use Boost for Shiva twice. This will put her into Overdrive. Before you use Diamond Dust (her Overdrive), heal yourself with Blizzard/Blizzara. Repeat this twice and Anima will die. Quickly dismiss Shiva. To defeat Seymour again, just cast the NulShields in the order of his magic and attack with your best hitters; or use Lulu, for Black Magic.

Have Yuna learn Reflect and cast it on all of your party members at the start of the fight. Use a weapon with Stonetouch (such as Auron's Gorgon Gaze) to dispatch the Guado Guards. Beat down Anima with the "????" summon (Shiva) by using Boost to charge her Overdrive twice and healing her with Blizzara. Then, let Seymour kill himself by casting his multi-spells on the Reflect. Each time the spell will bounce back on him and deal over 1500 damage. Since he only has 6000 HP, the battle will end quickly.

To defeat Seymour 1's guards quicker, charge Kimarhi Overdrive and use Ronso Rage-Stone Breath. It will automatically kill the guards, however Seymour is immune.

Make sure that Yuna is in your attack party. Use her to cast NulBlaze, NulShock, NulFrost, and NulTide. Seymour and his Guado friends only use magic attacks and Confusion. Keep doing this until Yuna Reaches overdrive and use her "Grand Summon". You can use what ever Aeon you wish, but Ifrit is recommended. He will be charged with Overdrive because Yuna was, will kill the Guados. Seymour will summon Anima. You should use Boost once, take Anima's attack (which will only take away half of your life). After that, use Fira or Blizardra on yourself, depending on whether you chose Ifrit or Shiva to fight (elemental Aeons gain HP from their elemental attacks). Repeat this until you reach Overdrive and use your attacks. When Anima's Overdrive gauge is almost full, use Shield and his Overdrive will only take half of your life away. Repeat this until he dies. You will have to fight Seymour once again. Do what was you done before with the Nuls and use either magic or other attacks.

Have Tidus, Yuna, and Auron in your group. Have Tidus use Cheerm Yuna use NulShock, and Auron use Power Break or Armor Break, if you have it. Then, take out Tidus and put in Kimhari. Have him use a Potion if anyone needs it. When Yuna has all the Nuls, have her summon ???? or Ixion. Wait until they get Overdrives then have them use it. It should kill them and he will summon Anima. Always have an Aeon out. When it gets Overdrive, use it. If the Aeon gets low. have it use a magic attack of its own on itself (except Valefor because it will probably kill him). When Anima gets his Overdrive up, have the Aeon use Shield. Keep using it until he dies. You will then have to defeat Seymour. Keep attacking and you will have a good chance of winning.

Have Yuna, Auron, and Rikku out. Have Rikku's Overdrive charged up, but do not use it. Use Steal on the guards, then kill them. Seymour will call Anima. Defeat Anima, then use Rikku's Overdrive and mix two Grenades to make Flash Flood. If he is not dead, then use Auron's power break.

Hint: Defeating Seymour 2:
Cast reflect on all party members and Seymour will heavily damage himself with his magic.

Cast Reflect on Seymour (not his pet), then keep attacking his pet. The pet will take life from Seymour and cast Curaga on him, which will reflect back to a party member. Use your Aeons' Overdrives to kill him faster.

Make sure Yuna knows Reflect, the 4 Null-spells, Protect, and Shell. For Tidus, make sure he has Haste or Hastega to speed up your party members, as well as Cheer to increase power and defense. Also, before the fight, make sure each member and Yuna's Aeons are in Overdrive to inflict greater damage. Each member should have over 2,000 HP, because Seymour casts powerful magic. If you have Wakka powered up with good strength from the Sphere Grid, his attacks should cause about 2,000 to 3,000 damage to this Boss. Equip some Hi-Potions, Phoenix Downs if needed, and status effect removers in the event they are needed. Start with Yuna casting her Null Spells to protect against Seymour's strong magic spells such as Multi-Blizzara, Watera, etc. in which his magic hits the entire party in several shots and causes over 1,000 damage to each member. Also have Yuna cast Shell and Protect on the party, to stand up to the Mortibody's attacks. Then, have Tidus cast Haste or Hastega to make a member have more turns to attack. Get your heavy hitters out, such as Auron or Wakka to lay some damage down on the Mortibody. When the Mortibody is low on HP, it will steal about 3,000 HP from Seymour. However, this means you need to deplete the Mortibody's HP again. To steal HP, have Yuna cast Reflect on Seymour, so when the Mortibody steals HP from him, it will transfer it over to you instead. Eventually the Mortibody will keep draining Seymour of HP, and you can use your members' Overdrives to hit on Seymour as well as the Mortibody. Your Aeons only get one chance to attack before Seymour finishes the Aeon off -- make sure they are all in Overdrive. When Seymour is killed, the Mortibody will die as well.

Hint: Defeating Seymour 3:
In the third fight with Seymour, he is rather tough and uses a combo attack where he uses the Lance of Atrophy which inflicts Zombie on one character then casts Full Life to kill them. He uses this in two turns -- you only have one chance to use Holy Water, which you should have a lot of. Spend some time before the battle running around near the save location just before fighting him. Build up all you characters' and Aeons' Overdrives so that you can use all of them in the fight. It is also a good idea to have at least one character in the fight that has about 3000 HP. Seymour will use attacks that can kill your party in one hit, but 3000 HP should be enough to keep you alive. Have the surviving character use a MegaPhoenix to revive you party then heal it.

Have at least 30 Hi-Potions (preferably more), at least 10 Holy Waters, at least 5 Phoenix Downs and use a party with Tidus, Kimahri, and Auron. Enter the party with Kimahri's Overdrive gauge full. Have Tidus cast Hastega on the party, and do it again if it runs out or Seymour casts Dispel. Keep fighting, using Hi-Potions and Holy Water when needed. When the message "Metamorphos is gaining power" appears, use Kimahri's Overdrive to cast Mighty Guard. After that, just have everyone attack basically, and use a Mega-Potion or some kind of heal all item after each annihilation attack, if you have them. Also, If you guided Kimahri in a certain direction on the sphere grid, he might know "Use". If so, also have him use Al Bhed potions . Seymour should go down quickly, especially if you get Auron's Overdrive full before Seymour casts Protect. Note: Delay Attack/Delay Buster does not work on Seymour.

You will face his Total Annihilation ability when facing Seymour for the third and final time. To cut this in half, cast Protect and Shell. However, he can cast Dispel. When he does this try to repeat Protect and Shell as fast as you can.

Charge all of yours Aeons' Overdrives and use them. If he has not been killed, cast Reflect on everyone, including Seymour. Then, hit him with all of your strongest moves. He is weak against Fira and Firaga.

Use Bio magic with Lulu to poison him. Every time he uses a move, it will take off 1400 to 2000 HP. Cast Protect and Shell and remember to get your characters' Overdrives full before you fight. Beware of his combo move that casts Zombie followed by Full-Life, which will instantly kill. You should have at least 20 Holy Waters, 50 High Potions, 10 Megapotions, 10 Megaphoenix Downs, and 5 Phoenix Downs. Each of your characters should also have at least 2000 HP and two characters should have 3000 to 5000 HP. A recommended team is Auron, Yuna, and Lulu. You can only use a summons attack one to two times then the Boss uses Banish and gets rid of your Summon. The Boss' weakness is Fire, so use Ifrit when his Overdrive is full.

Seymour is not immune to poison in his first three forms. Use Bio or a weapon with Poisontouch/Poisonstrike to inflict that status on him. Whenever he attacks, he will receive a large amount of damage.

Start the battle with everyone in Overdrive (Kimahri, Yuna, and also Rikku recommended). Make sure you have plenty of Holy Waters for Zombie, and about five Ethers. If Kimarhi is in your front line party, have him cast Mighty Guard immediately. Have Tidus cast Hasteaga as well. When he is through, use him to cast Bio or use Rikku's Overdrive to throw a Chaos Grenade. This gives Seymour Silence and Poison. Have Yuna use Ifrit for her Grand Summon to cause good damage at first. Since he cannot cast Dispel because he is silenced, Mighty Guard remains effective for your characters. Yuna is the vital key to victory for this battle. If she stays Hasted and Mighty Guarded, you will have an almost sure victory. The Poison will tick away at him every time he attacks. Attack with a flame sworded Tidus and Auron to move things along. If all this is done, every time Seymour does Total Annihilation, Yuna should be the only one remaining. Have her cast Life, Protect and possibly Reflect if needed on the entire the party. Continue this cycle until he is defeated.

When facing Seymour for a third time, it is often best to not fight unless you do the following. Stock 99 Hi-Potions, Potions, Phoenix Downs, , Holy Waters, and Al Bhed Potions (acquired by stealing from the robots around the save point). Each character should be at least 4,000 HP. All characters and Aeons should be at a full Overdrive. Every character should have armor with Zombie Ward on it. You can get this by buying items from the Owaka man; Auron and Yuna are the only characters with it already on their armor. For the rest of the characters, you will have to buy new armor or win them in fights; then buy 30 Holy Waters for each one, and customize it in the customize menu option so that they gain Zombie Ward. Start the battle, and make sure you heal yourself only with a Holy Water if the Lance Of Anthropy is applied and your Zombie Ward did not work.

Make sure you have Yojimbo. Have a starting lineup of your best two hitters and Yuna. Start the battle and as soon as it is Yuna's turn, summon Yojimbo. Pay him 4,000 gil and he will kill Seymour with one hit.

Hint: Defeating Seymour 4:
Do not attack the Elemental Wheels. Use the opposite magic that he turns to with Lulu. When he turns to non-elemental, hit him with your Aeons' Overdrives. He will use Ultima to kill your Aeons, but he will get hurt only when he is on gray.

Blue: Water
Purple: Blizzard
Red: Fire
Yellow: Thunder
Gray: Non: elemental

Get Anima and train him until his HP is higher than 5,000. Get Tidus' Overdrive. His strength must be on 50 or higher. Immediately after the battle, equip a the Brotherhood Sword. Once you begin use Tidus' Overdrive, he should get between 2,500 and 3,000 damage. Summon Anima and use his overdrive. If needed, finish him with your strongest character.

Get Anima and get it into overdrive. Also get Auron into Overdrive. Use Auron's Overdrive first and use Banishing Blade. This will make it more vulnerable to physical and magical attacks. Then, summon Anima and use its Overdrive Oblivion. Each punch will do about 10,000 damage.

To make this battle extremely easy, have Tidus's legendary weapon, the Caladbolg. Once it has achieved its maximum power, Tidus will be able to damage an enemy for 20,000 to 24,000 HP. Make sure Yuna knows the four Nul Spells, as they will be very handy to protect against Seymour's strong magic. Start with Tidus, Yuna, and Auron. Get to Yuna's turn and cast a Nul Blaze immediately to nullify Seymour's Quad-Firaga. With Tidus "hopefully" being hit twice, his Caladbolg will allow him to counter Seymour's attacks for 50,000 damage total. The trick here is to have armor that eats fire, so when Tidus gets hit the first time, he nullifies the fire. The second time he is hit "hopefully", he will convert the fire into HP for him. Then, finish Seymour off with some slashes of Auron's sword. If you really want to win easily, have the Aeon Anima and its Overdrive, Oblivion. Seymour will definitely go down after this horrific Overdrive in one turn.

After you defeat Sin's head, you will come across a strange place. Enemies will pop up. Fight them with Ifrit, Ixion or Shiva. By the end of the path there should be stairs. Make sure Ifrit, Ixion, and Shiva are in Overdrive. Start with Yuna, Lulu and Auron. It usually starts on the element fire (red). Call upon Shiva and use her Overdrive, because fire's weakness is ice. It should do about 50,000 damage. He will use Ultima to kill Shiva and maybe a few Firagas. Come back to your playing characters and Seymour will use Dispel. It will all miss. If Yuna is still out, switch her with Tidus and make him use Hastaga on Auron, Lulu, and himself . When Lulu attacks, use Doublecast Bizzaga (fire). He should not have changed the elements yet. Keep using it. On Auron's first turn, use Armor Break because Seymour has a high defense. Tidus should be up next. Switch him with Kimahri or whoever has a higher attack power and make them attack. Keep using Lulu's doublecast and Auron's and Kimahri's attack. He should be dead after a few more hits. Remember, if HP runs low. use Mega-Potions and have about two Mega-Phoenix. You do not need any hidden Aeons in this battle.

Have Wakka in your party and make sure you have his "Attack Reels" Overdrive. Before entering the battle, get Wakka's Overdrive up. During the battle, cast Attack Reels, and get all three two-hit slots lined up for a one hit battle. If each hit does at least 7,000 damage he will die on just that Overdrive. Also, whatever element that he has chosen, have Yuna summon the Aeon of that same element. Whenever he casts the spell of that particular element, the Aeon will absorb it. Note: Seymour will eventually banish your Aeon.

Start with Rikku, Tidus and Wakka. Make sure Rikku and Tidus have their Overdrives full going into the battle. Start the battle and make sure Rikku goes immediately before Tidus. Use Rikku's Overdrive Trio of 9999 by using either two Doors To Tomorrow (stolen from the Ultima Weapon) or two Gamblers Spirits (stolen from the Omega Weapon). Then, have Tidus use his Overdrive Blitzace. The first eight hits will each take 9999 (79992 total). If you do not make the last move, which would have overkilled him, just attack with Wakka or whoever else you want to defeat him with.

Make sure that you have about five to six Dark Matters. These will do 60,000 to 70,000 damage together. Then, summon Bahamut and use his Overdrive.

Hint: Defeating Sin:
Get the secret Aeon Anima, and get it into Overdrive. Next, get Yuna in Overdrive. Then, get Rikku and Kimahri in Overdrive. Fight Sin and before he pulls you in, get Tidus and use Hastega. When Sin pulls you in, use Rikku to throw a maximum amount of Gil. It will do 9,999 damage to Sin. Then, use Kimahri's Overdrive and use Thrust Kick. If you have Nova for Kimahri's Overdrive, use it instead because it does a lot of damage (either 6,200 or 9,999). Then, use Rikku's Overdrive. Combine two ThreeStars (which can be acquired at Calm Lands for catching certain enemies in a certain region). After you combine them, it will do Sunburst which does 12,000 damage. Bring out Anima and use its overdrive. After its Overdrive, dismiss Anima and use Yuna's Overdrive on Anima. Then, use anima's overdrive again. It will do about 80,000 damage after using Animas Overdrive twice. Dismiss Anima, switch Yuna with Tidus, and switch Rikku with Auron. Your party should now consist of Tidus, Auron, and Kimahri. Use Tidus to cast Hastega on the party. Have Auron use Armor Break and have Kimahri to use Zombie Break. It does not inflict Zombie on Sin, but does do a lot of damage.

It is possible to defeat the very last Boss without the use of any of the special weapons, damage limit break, or health limit break. Once the battle starts, cast Magic Break on him. This will lower the amount of HP he can recover after each hit he takes. Depending on how much you have built up your magic ability, you can lower his health regain rate by up to 50%. If you then keep a constant rate of attack on him, you can defeat him. However, depending on your characters strength, this may still take some time.

Hint: Defeating Sinspawn Gui:
Destroy the head first, so he does not do much damage. Next, destroy both his arms. Have Auron and Wakka in your party. Auron can destroy the arms and Wakka can destroy the head. The head just has 1000 HP and the arms have 800 HP. Do not change Auron because the arms will regenerate. When you fight Sinspawn Gui 2, you will have Seymour in your party. Have Seymour use Thundara on the head. Next, have Yuna summon an Aeon with its Overdrive (if available). If not, just do the same thing as last time without Wakka in your party. Also, use Seymour's Thundara ability on the body, which has 6000 HP, to destroy Sinspawn Gui 2 faster. Remember to take out the arms first.

Hint: Defeating the Spectral Keeper:
Have your Overdrives full and use them. You should have between 4,000 to 6,000 HP, Aga magic, lots of curing items, and Protect (to muffle the power of the Boss' moves). He does a move called Glyph Mine that kills you instantly. Getting hit by this is pure luck. He normally only does it one to two times.

Make sure all your Aeons' Overdrives are powered up before the fight. Have Tidus, Yuna, and Auron in your party. Have Tidus cast Haste on Yuna, then have Yuna summon her Aeons as quickly as she can. After each Aeon uses their Overdrive, the Spectral Keeper will probably use Glyph Mine on it, killing it instantly. If not, just have it keep hacking away at it as much as it can, healing itself when necessary. You can keep Tidus and Auron in there to heal Yuna, or you can swap them out for other characters to get them some experience.

Hint: Defeating the Spherimorph:
To prepare, start training vigorously from the time the game starts to the time you get to the Spherimorph (about ten fights minimum in each area). You should have about 15000 gil or more when you are ready. Go to O'aka and ask for weapons. Leave, then he will ask you about the prices. Tell him that they are too expensive, then go back and buy weapons. The prices should be lowered to some extent. Buy the Sonic Steel for Tidus, Rod of Darkness for Yuna, and the Force Knuckles for Rikku. When you get to the part of the Macalania Woods where you fight Spherimorph, immediately save if you are uncertain that you can defeat it. To fight Spherimorph you should equip the following recommended items. Tidus (Sonic Steel, any armor with Magic Def 3or 5%), Yuna (Rod of Darkness or Laevatein, Seeker's Ring; HP + 10%), Wakka (Switch Hitter, Emerald Armguard), Lulu (Fatal Cait Sith or Water Moomba, Seekers Bangle), Auron (Shimmering Blade, Recovery Bracer), Rikku (Force Knuckles, NulBlaze Target), Kimahri (Hunters Spear, Red Armlet). Start the fight with Tidus, Auron and Wakka. Tidus goes first, so set the tone with his Overdrive (if he has it). Do not use Wakka's Overdrive because it is elemental and will heal Spherimorph. Instead, use a physical attack. Use Auron's Magic Break to weaken spells, then switch in Kimahri and use his Jump or Seed Cannon Overdrives (if he has them). Use Yuna and summon Ifrit. Use his physical attacks to damage Spherimorph. Spherimorph will attack with Fire, thus healing Ifrit. Switch out Ifrit and use normal characters occasionally. Switch Ifrit back in and use his physical attacks until Spherimorph starts using its physical attacks frequently. Dismiss Ifrit and use Auron's Power Break to weaken its physical attacks. Then, finally pummel it down with either Ixion or Ifrit's physical attacks, occasionally healing them with elemental spells.

Have Tidus, Lulu, and Yuna on your team. Use Yuna to cast the Nul spells, then use Tidus' attack. Spherimorph will cast an elemental spell on Tidus. However, if you used the Nul spells it will not harm him. Have Lulu cast the opposite of that spell/ Spherimorph will then use Elemental Shift. Keep repeating this and Spherimorph will soon be dead and you will suffer no damage.

First, equip your heavy hitters with weapons that are non-elemental to previent Spherimorph from getting healed. Start out with Rikku, Lulu and Tidus. Rikku should be the first one up normally. Change her for Auron, who should attack with Magic-Break. Spherimorph will retaliate with his spell Counter, so you can easily tell its element. Haste Auron with Tidus , add a Power Break for good measure, and slice away with Auron and Tidus using the warrior mode to get your Overdrives up). Do not use Auron's Overdrive, as it is elemental in nature. Use Rikku's Overdrive to heal your party with two Potions or switch Lulu for Yuna to heal your party. You can use Lulu's Focus ability to guard from the spells and Tidus' Cheer ability to protect from his basic attacks. When you estimate the Boss has dropped to about 2,000 HP and has changed to Ice element, get Yuna in to grand summon Ifrit so you can overkill easily for extra AP.

Hint: Defeating the Stratoavis in the Battle Arena:
Once you collect all the monsters from the desert, go back to the Calm Lands and go to the Battle Arena. If you have caught all of them, the man will offer you a free fight with the new monster he just created. Accept his offer. Once in the battle, make sure you have Yuna in your party. Wakka and Tidus are also recommended. To make this faster you will need the Aeon Yojimbo. He can dodge all the attacks from Strutoavis and put Yojimbo in Overdrive. This should enable you to pay a low price for maximum damage. You should be able to pay 10 to 20 gil and he will do one of four attacks. If he does Wakizashi or Kozuka, it should do maximum damage. Do this about fifteen to twenty times and he should fall. You should get about 10,000 AP for winning, and perhaps a Key Sphere.

Hint: Defeating Yu Yevon:
Use the Zombie Attack on Yu Yevon. After every attack, he will cast Curaga on himself and take extra damage because of his Zombie status.

Use the Zombie Attack on Yu Yevon. If it hits, the next time it is your turn use a Phoenix Down on him for an instant kill.

When fighting Yu Yevon, use Reflect or Star Curtain on some of your party members. Although you automatically have Auto-Life, it is a good idea to keep all of your members' health up. The higher your health, the more damage inflicted to Yu Yevon. Another good tactic is to get Tidus' Overdrive up and use Slice And Dice on Yu Yevon.

Press Triangle through the entire battle and eventually he will kill himself with his own moves. Iif you do not attack him he will not use Curaga, and if you die you will automatically return to life.

In the Zanarkand Dome, you can Steal from fiends the Candle Of Life. Try to steal from every fiend you encounter in the Zanarkand Dome and you should find it. After disposing of Lady Yunalesca, Sin, Seymour and Jeckt, you will encounter Yu Yevon. When the battle begins, bring in Rikku and use the Candle Of Life and a number should appear on top of his head, counting down to his death.

Use Lulu to inflict Death. If Lulu has not yet learned Death, then charge Kimari's Overdrive in the battle with the Aeons.

Have Lulu and Yuna use Ultima repeatedly. Note: If you leveled up Yuna and have her Nirvana, she should do about 50,000 damage each turn.

Have the Celestial Weapon for any character. The character's Strength must be over 200. One attack which causes 99,999 damage will kill him.

Hint: Defeating Yunalesca:
Yunalesca has three stages. Her first form is quite simple. Just use physical attacks and magic. Do not use Overdrives or Aeons. Her attacks are very weak and she is killed easily. Her second form is a more difficult. She does an attack which casts Zombie -- have plenty of Holy Waters available. In this part, use your players' Overdrives, but no Aeons. Yunalesca's third form is not very difficult. Just have your Aeons' Overdrives ready and finish her off with a couple of physical attacks.

Yunalesca has 164,000 HP when you add up all three parts. You should have at least 4,000 to 9,999 HP on most characters. First, just attack and use magic. Ultima woks well if you have it. After you kill its first form, a more difficult form appears. On this form, simply attack and use some magic but do not use summons. The final form will cast Death, but it can be counteracted with Zombie. However, if Zombie is on it will cast curing magic and regain. You should have 99 Hi-Potions and Phoenix Downs; and a good supply of Ethers and Mega-Potions. Some Elixirs and X-Potions are also good.

Her first form is easy. Just use physical attacks and some magic. In her second form, she does Hellbiter which requires Holy Water as a cure. Have at least fifty and some Phoenix Downs, Her third form is quite . Just use your Aeons' Overdrives (if available), or yours. If she is not defeated, use more magic.

On her third form, try to keep at least one character in Zombie status. This will prevent them from dying when Yunalesca casts Mega Death. Hack at her with physical and magical attacks (such as Holy) on her first two forms. On the third forum, use Aeons'/characters' Overdrives.

When Yunalesca is in her first form, just use attacks and magic. With the second form, do the same thing only Heal when you get hit with Hellbiter; or use Auto-Med if available. When she is down to 5000 hit points, summon Valefor and use his Overdrive. When the third form Megadeath attack appears, it will not hit your party members but hit your Aeon instead. Then, just finish her with Holy and other Aeon overdrives.

Get the Celestial Mirror and Yuna and Kimari's legendary weapons. After Seymour 3, get Kimari's Crest then capture all the monsters in the Calm Lands to get yuna's weapon. Get her Crest on Besaid Beach. Then, power up her weapon halfway with the Crest. Do the same for Kimari. Valfor, Bahamut, and Ixion should now be able to do about 23,000 to 24,000 damage. Get all their Overdrives up, including Wakka's Attack Reels. Start by using his Attack Reels, then use a Aeon such as Shiva that can only do 9999 damage. After the first form, cast Haste on Yuna with Tidus. On the second form, use Bahamut and keep healing him with cure magic if you have it. You should get at least two overdrives from him if you keep healing. After the second form, use the last Aeons to your advantage and kill her. If done correctly, your characters should not have been harmed and you should still have other Aeon Overdrives to burn.

Have Yuna use Holy on all of her three forms. Also, have Rikku's overdrive Mix available. With Rikku, mix Musk and Ether to create Freedom X, where there is no MP cost. Then, if desired, have Rikku use Light and Lunar Curtains to cast Protect or Shell on your party. You should have no problem with Yunalesca's first form, but when she uses Hellbiter in her second form keep someone who has Hastega in your party in the Zombie status. When she shows her third form, have that person who has Hastega revive them with a Mega Pheonix. It is possible to defeat Yunalesca in about three minutes. Note: Auron should have Holy, Flare, Doublecast, and Ultima.

Hint: Defeating Bosses:
Get all your Aeons' Overdrives character's Overdrives up before battle. When you enter the battle, let everyone hit once with their Overdrive (so at the end they all get experience) and let Yuna summon her Aeons and use their Overdrives. Try using Yuna's Overdrive "Grand Summon" and summon your best Aeon. You can use two Overdrives with hem if you charged them up.

To defeat almost any Boss in the game, go through the Monster Arena side quest until the man gives you 60 (99?) Gambler's Spirits. Next, build up your characters' Overdrives. With a party that includes Tidus, Rikku, and Yuna, go into a battle. Usually Rikku will go first -- have her use Overdrive: Mix and combine two Gambler's Spirits. This casts Trio of 9999 (makes the next time the character attacks to do 9999 damage). Then, use Tidus and his second Overdrive. Since you cast Trio of 9999, all six of Tidus' attacks will do 9999 damage for a grand total of 59,994. Next, have Yuna Grand Summon a strong Aeon (Anema, Magus Sisters, Bahamut) and they should do about 30,000 damage for a grand total about 90,000. This should kill any Boss except for Omega Weapon, and the second form of Braska's final Aeon. For even more damage, make sure all of your Aeons are also at Overdrive.

Get Anima, Yojimbo, and The Magus Sisters. Train with them a little while and when you encounter a Boss, the battle will be easier. To make a Boss fight even more easy, get all your Aeons, including the secret ones, and get them into Overdrive.

Have Rikku and Tidus in Overdrive and equip them with their legendary weapon. Have Rikku use her Overdrive Mix to combine two Gambler's Spirits. Do this immediately before Tidus' turn. On Tidus' turn, have him use his Overdrive Blitz Ace. The first seven hits will all do 9999 damage and the last hit should do at lest 15,000 damage. This winds up doing more than 80,000 damage to any Boss. However, this will not kill Braska's Final Aeon second form and Sin's head.

When attacking a Boss have Yojimbo's overdrive full. Pay him gil so he does his special attack. This attack seems to do no damage but it kills it instantly. This attack is rather random -- it is possible to do the attack Zanmato without having an overdrive. It just increases the chance that it happens. You have to pay Yojimbo the correct amount. Paying him massive amounts will not always work. For example, it may work when 1111 gil is paid.

Make sure you have at least two Doors To Tomorrow. Tidus must have Blitz Ace. Rikku and Tidus must have Overdrive before the battle. When the battle begins, have Tidus cast Hastega then have Rikku use Mix and use two Doors To Tomorrow. This causes Trio of 9999, which makes all of your attacks do 9999 damage. Next, have Tidus use Blitz Ace. Every hit does 9999 damage, and for Blitz Ace this results in exactly 89,991 damage. You do not have to worry about getting the correct timing on the final hit -- it will always do 9999 damage. This is enough damage to kill Omega Weapon in one attack. This technique also works for Wakka's Aurochs or Attack Reels, although the damage is different.

Hint: Defeating machinas:
Use the following trick to defeat any machina (except for the Bosses). Use Tidus' and Rikku's Steal ability on it and they will just crumble.

Hint: Defeating enemies that use Reflect:
Have a party member cast Reflect on another party member. Then, just use an attack spell on that person. For example, when you are fighting an enemy with Reflect, to attack that creature with magic first use Reflect on Tidus with Yuna. On the next move, use Thundaga on Tidus. It will reflect to the enemy and will not be reflected back.

Hint: Easy win:
Use Zombie, then Phoenix Down (or the potion that heals you completely) on the enemy.

Hint: Easy gil:
Collect all the Al Bhed Primers throughout the game. When this is completed, talk to Rin on the airship. Tidus will have a conversation with him in Al Bhed and will then receive 99 Underdog's Secrets. You can use 30 to add the Double Overdrive ability to a weapon, or they can be sold for 5,000 gil each.

This trick requires a controller with an auto-fire feature. Capture the fiend "Dingo" in Besaid. Have a weapon with Gillionare equiped, set your cursor to memory, and go to the Monster Arena. Set X to auto-fire and move to the Monster Trainer. When you get into the fight, have a heavy hitter on attack, and the two other party members do useless skills, such as Aim and Reflex. Keep X held and allow the game to idle. You will not get a lot of money, but this is a little safer than other methods, and does not require you to chase Mimics. It is also a good idea to have Auto-Regen or SoS-Regen armor on your people.

After getting the Airship, fight the One-Eye monster in the arena. When you kill it, it will most likely drop a triple AP weapon which sell for at least 22000 gil if it has two slots or 150,000 gil if it has four slots.

Hint: Easy experience:
Play the game until you get the airship. Then, go to all of the areas and try to capture all of the monsters there. Once you are done with Zandarkand, return to the owner of the Monster Arena in the Calm Lands. If you did what you were supposed to, he will give you some useful items and let you fight monsters for free. One of those monsters is the Cactuar King. Once you can fight it, equip your characters with weapons with the following abilities: Overdrive ->AP (sacrifices your Overdrive to give you more experience.), and Double AP or Triple AP. Next, set all of your characters' Overdrives to "Comrade" and fight the Cactuar King. In battle, he will do either 10,000 Needles or 99,999 Needles to a character and they will die. Keep reviving them. Do so until the Cactuar King decides to run away or you run out of Phoenix Downs (in which case, call someone with the Flee ability into the battle and use it). You should now receive a large amount of experience. Note: You do not have to kill the Cactuar King for this to work.

Hint: Increase damage:
When in battle, choose the Attack command. When your character is just about to strike, tap R1. A small explosion will appear on the enemy and the damage will be twice the amount usually done.

Throughout the game you will acquire Black Magic Spheres. Save them until Lulu has learned her top elemental spells, when Kimari learns Ultima, and when Wakka gets close enough to Flare to learn it. You will need a total of six Black Magic Spheres. Teach Ultima, then Flare, then the elemental spells to Yuna. When she powers up her Nirvana, she can use Ultima and do at least 18,000 HP worth of damage to each enemy for only 1 MP. If you want even more damage, have her learn Doublecast with a Skill Sphere obtainable from enemies in the Omega Ruins. Holy also works well after Yuna powers up her Nirvana. This is effective because Yuna's magic power is double that of Lulu.

Hint: Using the Magus Sisters effectively:
Many people think that Anima is the strongest Aeon. However, the last Aeon you can get is the Magus Sisters. Sandy the middle sister in battle can deal around 20,000 damage and a critical of 40,000 damage, the same as Anima. Again, there are three Magus Sisters, which gives you more attacks. They are also faster, which aids in fighting enemies like Ultima and Omega Weapons. However, you cannot fully control what the Magus Sisters do. Often, if you tell Cindy to do what you want, she will take a break; and when you do that for Sandy, she will do Reflect. If you command them too much, they will not listen to you when you want them to do something specific. Also, both Aeon's overdrives deal about the same, Delta Attack and Oblivion, even though Delta Attack can only occur when all three Magus Sisters are in the orange level of their Overdrive gauge, while Oblivion can occur once Anima is in its orange level. The Magus Sisters last a lot longer in battle because they can use magic such as Life and Auto-Life. Even though Anima is stronger with one attack, the combined powers of the Magus Sisters exceed the full power of Anima.

Hint: Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon:
To find Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon you must explore the ruins with a No Encounter ability on one of your characters (Peaceful Bangle, Ductile Rod, etc.). The best way to find them is to have a high level. When you enter you will be tempted to go straight. Instead, go to the left and then straight. The rest of the way should be obvious.

Have your three fastest party members (except for Yuna or Kimahri) in the starting formation. Use your first party member that can move, but not Yuna or Kimahri, to swap out for a member who can steal. Steal the 30x Gamblers Spirit from the second Weapon. Use the second member to swap for Kimahri and use his Lancet skill to acquire the blue magic "Nova". Then, use the last party member to swap for Yuna and summon the Magus sisters with a full Overdrive. After about one Overdrive and two Razzia's, the Weapon should be defeated.

Hint: Potions:
At the very beginning of the game, as you head down the long road to get to the Blitzball stadium, talk to the girl running around who talks about tickets more than once. Eventually she will say that tickets are sold out, and will ask if you can get tickets for her. Tell her you can, and she will reward you with two Potions.

Near the start of the game, when you get on the S.S. Liki after getting Yuna, you should be able to explore the ship for a little bit. When you get to walk around, go downstairs. A man will talk to you about your clothes. After he is done talking, go to the only open room (on the left side) in the hallway. You should see a seasick man with his head out the window. On the far right of the screen, you should see a suitcase similar to the one Yuna was going to bring on the boat. Go up to it and press X to kick it. You will receive a Potion. Keep kicking it to get about fifteen free Potions.

When you meet Yukku on the salvaged ship, talk to the man with a gun that has a knife on it. Talk to Yukku and talk to the other person. You can only understand Yukku, but after you talk to them all you will get three Potions.

Early in the game, after being forced on Rikku's Al Bhed ship, there will be a man who will tell you that you have to work to stay on the boat. Though you cannot understand him, Rikku will translate for you. There will be two other men waiting on the boat. One will give you three potions when you talk to him (the man all the way on the left of the three). Talk to Rikku, and you will jump off the boat. Swim down to the second screen, where you can see a big building with red lights, and fight a couple of battles. Swim back up to where you can return back to the ship. Talk to the man that gave you the free potions again, and he will give you three more. You can repeat this as many times as needed.

When you are on the Al Bhed salvage ship. there is a man standing next to the save point. Talk to him and he will say something in Al Bhed and then give you three potions. Jump off the boat and go off the screen. Go back to the ship and talk to the man again. Keep doing this for about half an hour and you will get 99 potions.

Hint: Items:
After your ship docks at the first town (the one torn apart by Sin), proceed through the intermission sequence with Yuna, and you will find yourself in a hut. Exit the hut, and proceed to the left side of the screen. You will see a child on a pile of rubble. Press X near the child to rescue her before the rubble collapses. Proceed to the hut at the top right of the current screen for a free item from the chest.

Tidus: Caladbolg
Race and defeat the Chocobo trainer in the Calm Lands. After winning the race, walk to the upper northwest section of the Calm Lands. The guard blocking a narrow pathway down into the gorge will have left his post, allowing you to pass. Tidus will then be able to use the Calastial Mirror to acquire Caladbolg.

Yuna: Nirvana
Capture all nine types of fiends in the Calm Land region. After collecting them all, return to the monster arena owner. He will produce a treasure chest, containing the weapon.

Auron: Masamune
Acquire the Rusty Sword, which is found on the eastern cliff of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth in the Calm Lands. Take the Rusty Sword to the statue of Lord Mi'ihen on the Mushroom Rock Road. Place the Rusty Sword before the statue to reveal a glyph. Touch it to reveal the Masamune's secret location.

Wakka: World Champion
Talk to the bartender in Luca Cafe. If she refuses to turn it over, it is because you have been neglecting to play Blitzball.

Kimahri: Spirit Lance
Active three of the Qactuar Stones on the Thunder Plains, then find the Qactuar ghost flying just above the ground at Thunder Plains-South. Follow it to a small ruined lighting tower on the right side. Press Square to send a bolt of lightning to the tower to reveal a treasure holding the weapon.

Lulu: Onion Knight
Return to Baaj Temple and dive underwater. Swim towards the doors to the north and fight Geosgaeno. After defeating it, search the southern part of the circular underwater area and look for a treasure chest containing the weapon.

Rikku: Godhand
Input the airship password GODHAND to open a secret location at Mushroom Rock. Move north to the end of this ravine, and use the Celestial Mirror on the symbol embedded in the rock face.

Mercury Sigil: Find all of the Cactaurs in the Cactaur mini-game. Then, look for a treasure box in the village of the Cactaur.

Hint: Easy Jupiter Sigil:
Normally, you would have to win between 50 to 250 games of Blitzball to win the Jupiter Sigil as a Blitzball league prize. Use the following trick to win the Jupiter Sigil immediately after winning 50 games. First, win 50 games of Blitzball. You then have to win a Blitzball League. Save after the tenth round, but do not enter a new league yet. After saving, return to the Bltzball menu and you will be able to see the first place prize for the Bltzball League. Do not enter the league if the first place prize is not the Jupiter Sigil. Reset the game, go back to the Bltzball menu and you will see that the first place prize for the league has been changed. Keep resetting until the Jupiter Sigil appears as the prize, then win the league. This method can used for any item you want to win from a league.

Hint: No Encounter:
To find the No Encounter easily, capture a Ghost Fiend where you get the Yojimbo. Then, go the man in the Calm Lands. Find the Ghost and fight him until you get the No Encounter.

Go to the cave where you get Yojimbo and fight a Ghost Fiend. Have Rikku steal from him, then fight him as normal. When you defeat him, you will receive an item that has the No Encounter ability attached. If you do not get it the first time, try again.

Crest: Take this from a chest in the northwest corner of the Sanubia Desert (fourth section).
Sigil: Challenge the Cactuars of the Sanubia Desert to find this sigil. Start at the Cactuar monument in front of the sandstorm. It will tell you where one of the ten missing Cactuars can be found. When you find each one, it will play a quick game with you. You must capture it before the timer runs out, however if it sees you moving, you will lose. Is not actually important to win these games -- do not worry if you fail. Return the green orb to the monument to get a clue about the next Catuar. The Cactuars appear in a random order. There locations are:
Tomay: At the Mikanel Island Oasis (first desert area)
Roviva: Northwest area of the second desert area
Chava: Hiding behind the Al Behd 20% off sign in the fourth desert area

Crest: Investigate a concealed chest in the area of Mt. Gagazet, just beyond where you fought Seymor. It is behind a pillar on the left.
Sigil: Win the butterfly catching mini-game in the Macalania Forest. You must touch all the blue butterflies with the allotted time limit. Touching a red butterfly incites a battle that wastes precious time.

Hint: Get Blitz Ace quicker:
To get Blitz Ace for Tidus quicker, put his Overdrive mode into Slayer. When his Overdrive is ready, use Energy Rain only on three enemies. When all three of those enemies are killed, his Overdrive bar will either be filled three quarters or all the way.

Hint: Quicker party:
If you have your three faster characters in your battle party formation, you will always get your initial turns faster. Then, just switch them out for slower characters, allowing them to go instead.

Hint: Staying alive:
Keep Yuna out of a battle. When someone is about to die, use white magic Cure and they will have full health. Or, use Ifrit and you can heal yourself by using the fire attack on yourself.

Hint: Get other people on Blitzball team:
To get other people on your Blitzball team press Square while facing someone. If they play, it will show their stats. Shin them up for as many games as you want. Note: This costs money.

Hint: Better Blitzball players:
If you are bad at Blitzball, keep playing until a good team fires one of their players. Then, go to the team and find the player that they fired and hire him.

When playing Blitzball, you may notice players on other teams that are better than the players on your team. If you wish to switch players, simply scout the opposing player, and note how many games they have left on their contract. If you can afford to pay your other team members' salaries, you can simply play multiple exhibition games against the team with the player you want, and after each game starts, press Triangle to Forfeit. This will not hurt your team, since no-one on the opposing team will gain experience. Once the number of games on the desired player's contract is reduced to 1, find the player and scout them again (this makes the team less likely to re-sign him or her). Save your game, play another exhibition game, and forfeit. After the game, the team will either release or re-sign the player, but you can reset your game and try multiple times until the player is released. Then, head back and sign the player for your own team.

To win every one of your early games of Blitzball easily (asides from the first rather unfair one), you need to pick up the correct people after the events in Luca. Recruit Zev Ronso (standing near dock 4 on the eastern side) and have him take the MF position. Recruit Wedge from the gate near the Auroch's locker room and have him take LF or RF. Tidus stays in the other LF or RF slot. Recruit Jumal from the square near the theater/seaport side and make him your goalie. Eventually, recruit Ropp from Rin's store on the Highroad and have him take over for one of your defenders. Swing Letty back with Jassu as defenders to start, and keep Letty to do the passing after getting Ropp. Here is the strategy needed to win. Tidus and Wedge will quickly become the nastiest front team in the game. Once Tidus hits level 3, equip Jecht Shot (you should have this from the boat ride to Luca). When he charges for a goal, keep his defenders down to two and Jecht Shot will mow them both down, giving him a SH 18+ shot on goal. He can usually do this once per half, for two easy points. Wedge has 65 SP and 17 SH. He can especially victimize the Ronso team, as they are slow. Have him zip to the goal, shoot, and score. At level 3, equip Wither Shot for even more nastiness. Zev is almost the perfect midfielder. A shade slow, but he can hit, pass, endure, tackle, block -- a great set up man for your forwards. If they kept track of assists, Zev would be through the roof. Letty and Jassu have good speed and attack, and both can pass. Since your goalie (Jumal) has a 14 CA and can equip Super Goalie at level 3, they do not really need to be there to stop shots. Let them pass to each other if you want good ball control. Ropp is a vicious defender with great attack, block, and pass. Use him as further insurance, especially against the Guado team. Keep leveling, grab some techs, and no one can stop you.

You probably will not win the first (unfair) game of Blitzball with the Luca Goers. However, use the following trick to win every game besides that. First, in Luca after that game and the events that happen at the stadium, go to dock 4 and get Zev Ronso and make him your MF. Next, get Jumal near the bar sitting on a bench and make him your Goalie. After that, go to the stairs that lead to the stadium, get Wedge, and make him you RF. Make Tidus your LF and make sure he has the Jecht Shot. It can take two people out when your in a breakthrough. Wedge will have a shot of 17 and Zev is excellent for a beginner because his shot and pass are sort of balanced but his EN is strong. Jumal will be a goalie with a starting catch of 15. If you keep leveling up Jumal, he will get Super Goalie. Also, try out other people in different towns as well. Press Square to see if some people are on other teams or a free player. Press X for the free players to join.

It is possible to do well in Blitzball without hiring other players. Blitzball members will gain experience by how they participate in the game, and by how well they participate. If your team makes successful attacks, shots, catches, passes, etc. they will gain experience and their stats will increase. Basically, if your team has more time with the ball, you will gain more experience points for your team. In a Blitzball game, take note of the opposing team's stats, and find out what most of their weaknesses are. You will now know who to avoid and who to ignore in a game. Also, if someone is on your tail while you are dribbling the ball, you may want to take care of them as soon as possible. If your dribbler survives the attack, the attack will be far behind and your dribbler will be able to advance the ball without worrying about too many attackers.

Hint: Wake up sleeping Blitzball players:
If any of your players have been put to sleep by a nap tackle, change your strategy and they will automatically wake up without you having to lose the ball by throwing it at them. For example, if Tidus is put to sleep by a nap tackle and your current strategy is Normal Attack, switch to Left Attack and he will wake up.

Hint: Easy Blitzball win:
After the gaining control of the airship, scout Brother (the man flying it). Put him on you team for as many games as you can afford. He is very fast and will be a good player to have on your team. Also have Tidus and another good shooter and put them in your RF and LF positions. Have Brother be your MF. The rest of the positions do not matter. When your team gets the ball, give it to Brother. Dribble in with him and go around all of the defenders. If you get close enough, the defenders will follow you. Since Brother is so fast dribbling in, get all defenders on you, and dribble the opposite direction to the goal your team is guarding. If all defenders follow you, should be able to get away from the defenders enough so you can have an open pass down the other half of the sphere. Pass it to one of the open players down the sphere. If Tidus has the Sphere or Jecht Shot, give it to him or someone else that is open. Once you pass it, dribble down with the player who received the pass. You should have an open shot. Take it at point blank range, since it is very possible to do that. You should score most of the time. Continue this to rack up points and the game should be no problem. If you just want to waste down the clock, give the ball to Brother and just run around. No one should be able to catch him. Note: This trick works the best when playing the Ronso Fangs.

When playing get at least one more point the other team. Once you get the ball again, keep on you side of the field and do not move. The clock will tick by and no one will come after you, letting you win the game.

After you score a goal, all you have to do to win is win the Blitzoff. Do not touch any buttons if you win -- just sit there. The opposing team usually just swims in circles, allowing the time to expire without them getting the ball. Watch your HP -- when you are standing still it goes down fast. This also works sometimes when you pass to a player that is far away from the other team.

Shoot one goal then try to get possession of the ball again. Once done, hide behind your goalie (not the goalpost) and no one will bother you. The players will start spinning in place. Send your players to the other side or as far over as possible. Pass to your best shooter and make a break for it.

Get Tidus' Jecht Shot. It is almost the best move in the game. Get the ball to Tidus, and swim to the other goal, avoiding other players as much as possible. Get in front of the goal, and make sure two or less players are around you. Use the Jecht Shot and you should be able to score with ease. With the remainder of the game, get the ball to anyone on your team and hide behind your goalie. The other players will not approach you. Time will run out and you will win the game.

Use the following trick to win the first Blitzball game. Learn the Jecht Shot on the boat. When the game starts and you get the ball, change your formation to the left or right side and stay near your goal. Just pass the ball around and try to get people leveled up, especially Tidus. When the half is over, equip Tidus with either the Jecht Shot (recommended) or Sphere Shot. When the second half starts, do your best to keep the other team from scoring and when you get the chance, have Tidus shoot with the Jecht Shot. You need to score at least once before Wakka comes in. If you are close enough and are able to make it without the Jecht Shot, do so, and save the Jecht Shot for another opportunity. If you can score at least twice, you should be able to win. When Wakka comes in (the Goers get the ball and usually score no matter what), do what you did at the start and stay near your goal. If they do get close, pass the ball. When you get down to the last 30 seconds or so shoot the ball. Since you are over by a goal, it should not leave the Goers with enough time to score.

Use the following trick to win the first Blitzball game. In the first half of the game, just pass the ball between your players. Do not go near the Goers. Keep the ball back and make sure all your players get at least two passes each. This will raise there experience and level. When the match timer gets to 4:00, stick to the bottom of the sphere and travel down to the Goer's goal. If you wait, the Goers will not go near you. Wait until Tidus is unmarked (use the radar). Pass to the ball to him and have him move towards the goal. When you are close, shoot. You may come across a Goers -- Break him (do not select No Break or it will ruin your shot. You should score. This should take at least 45 seconds to accomplish, leaving 15 seconds remaining on the clock until half time. When the Goers kick off, they will not have enough time to score. In the second, half do the same (pass the ball and keep away from the Goers). When the match timer gets to 1:45, stick to the bottom of the sphere and travel down to the Goer's goal. Wait until Tidus is unmarked (use the radar). Pass the ball to him. Instead of moving forward, use Tidus' Sphere Shot. Make sure you get at least 21 SH and it will sail in. This should take at least 40 seconds. The Goers will kick off. However, before they get a chance to score against you, the match will stop. When the clock hits 2:30 the game will stop and Wakka will come on, causing the kick off to be retaken, giving ypu the ball. Hold the ball near the edge of the arena and the Goers will not come near. Wait until the clock stops and you have won the game.

Make sure that you have Tidus in the RF position, the Jecht Shot, and movement set to "Manual A". When you get the ball, pass it to Tidus. Swim down the right side of the pool (bottom of map). Since he has decent speed, he will get down to the opposite side quickly. Whenever an opposing player gets close to him, repeatedly press Triangle until the movement menu appears. Choose "Manual A" again, then any formation. As soon as this menu disappears, continue swimming. As you will notice, the other players will stop moving for about two seconds. Continue to do this on your way to the goal and you will have little resistance. Then, just use the Jecht Shot to score. Keep in mind that the Jecht Shot only hits two opponents at a time, so try to minimize resistance. Make sure you swim into the goal so that you have your maximum SH by the time the ball reaches the goalie. Repeat this strategy and you will be able to win easily. It also helps to have a good team.

Hint: Bonus Blitzball items:
At the end of a season or tournament in Blitzball, if two or more of your players are tied for the lead in scoring, you will receive an item for each of them. For example, if Tidus and Wakka both finish a tournament with four goals each The prize for leading scorer is a Return Sphere. You will receive a Return Sphere for both Wakka and Tidus, giving you two of them.

Hint: Mastering the Jecht Shot:
When you are on the ship about to go to Luca and ready to practice it, do not do it when it the game displays the directional arrows. Instead, do it when the sentences from Jecht appear on the screen. For example, when the voice of Jecht says "You're never gonna make it kid" on the bottom right corner of the screen, press Left Analog-stick Right then X and it will disappear. There are a total of eleven sentences that he says. Keep resetting it until you master it.

The easiest way to get the Jecht shot is to not follow the instructions. Go through the demo, and when it is your turn to try, instead of trying to match the CPU, quickly rotate the Left Analog-stick clockwise while pressing X button as quickly as possible. You are not penalized for wrong entries, so this method very quickly ensures that you will get the required number of entries.

Hint: Easy captures:
Later in the game, when every monster is basically a mini-boss, have two magic casters with the One AP Cost and Break Damage Limit abilities use Doublecast Demi. Then, have your most heavy hitting character with a Capture weapon enter and finish them off.

Hint: Easy AP:
This trick requires a Friend Sphere or Teleport Sphere and Rikku on your team. Use a Teleport Sphere or a Friend Sphere to get to where Rikku starts out on the Sphere Grid. Because she starts out with such low HP, the sphere grid has to give her a lot of HP Spheres. Getting other characters there will add at least 1000 HP.

Collect some Doors Of Tomorrow, either from the first weapon in the Omega Ruins or from the Battle Arena by capturing enemies. Then, gain the ability Overdrive -> AP. Return to the Battle Arena and choose the character who has the weapon with that skill. It is best to have three characters with it for easier levels and to save time. Set the character's Overdrive mode to "Comrade" then choose to fight a King Cactaur. Note: You must have captured all the enemies from the Thunder Plains in order to unlock King Cactaur. In the battle the King Cactaur will use either 10,000 Needles or 99,999 Needles (better). Keep using Phoenix Downs or a Life spell to bring back the character he kills. He will eventually run away and the battle will end with your characters sometimes gaining anywhere from 10 to 20 levels depending on how long the battle lasted and how many times King Cactaur used his attacks.

Get ten Door To Tomorrows, either by bribing the Mech Leaders with 74,000 gil (found in Mount Gagazet), or by stealing from Omega Weapon. A third way to is to catch many different kinds of monsters and then going to the Monster Arena. When you complete one area, the keeper will give you 99 Door To Tommorows. After you have them, customize a weapon with the Overdrive -> AP ability. Next, get the Loner Overdrive by having everyone but the person with the Drive -> AP weapon flee the battle. After a few turns, the character will learn the Overdrive mode Loner automatically. Next, equip the character with armor that can either block or absorb an elemental attack. Engage in a battle with an enemy that only uses that magic (for example, Flame Flan, Snow Flan, Gold Elemental, etc.). Have everyone else flee, and keep Triangle held with a rubber band. In a few hours, you will have 99 S. Levels from one battle.

You need to have control of the airship to do this trick and a weapon with Sensor would be helpful. Find the Omega Ruins with the search. Stay close to the Save Sphere where start at, and move around until you are attacked. If you are attacked by a Master Tonberry have Wakka equip his Capture weapon and use the skill Sleep Buster to put it to sleep. It will sleep for only one turn, so bring in Tidus and cast Hastaga. If you only do magic attacks and no physical attacks, it will use its turn to wake up and you just need to put it back to sleep. Keep casting magic (have Lulu use Demi if she has it) and Sleep Buster. Bring in the person with the Sensor weapon and when it gets down enough where you can kill it, use Wakka's Capture weapon to kill and capture it. You will get the 20,000 AP, but now since its caught you and easy to kill, you can go to the Calm Lands. Go to the Monster Arena and you can fight it again for only 3600, and still get 20,000 AP.

If your characters have the double AP (customize with 20 Megalixers) or triple AP (customize with 50 Wings to Discovery) then go to Bikanal Island (the desert) and complete the Cactuar mini-game so the sandstorm will disappear. Go to where the sandstorm was located and you will encounter either Sand Worms or Cactuars. Sometimes there will be three Cactuars in a battle so you can get 36m000 AP just for winning that fight. With your Double or Triple AP, you receive 72,000 or even 108,000 AP. Just have strong attackers with good agility and accuracy or they will run away or cast 10000 Needles, which can be quite deadly.

Unlike other Final Fantasy games, the AP earned during battles are not divided among the people in the party. Try to as many characters as you can involved to level up faster.

Immediately after you get the Aeon Bahamut, you will be in the Via Purifico (the place where you have to control Yuna because your party was split). Go north to a long hallway lit in red. Go into the hallway, fight a larva person and summon Bahamut. From there, use Thundaga or Firaga. You will get 1000 to 1200 AP. After each battle, go back to the save point to heal your Aeons and party. Repeat until you reach your desired level.

Use the following trick to get more levels and fill your total Sphere Grid within three or less hours. Certain items and weapons are required. First, you need to be able to fight One Eye on the monster arena (in the Calm Lands). Fight and kill One Eye until you get a triple AP weapon with two empty spaces for one of your characters. After you get the weapon, use the Customize Weapon option and add the abilities: Overdrive -> AP (which uses ten Door To Tomorrows), and also either Triple Overdrive (which uses Winning Formula) or Double Overdrive (which uses Underdog's Secret). Once done, change the character's Overdrive to Loner and get into a battle anywhere (preferably Besaid Island). When in the battle, make all other characters leave, and have your character choose the special weapon. After you equipped the weapon, have them skip their turns for at least twenty five turns. Try using Haste on your character and Slowga on the enemies. Then, kill all the enemies. The post-battle screen should state that your character either gained 200,000 AP (if Double Overdrive was used), or 300,000 AP (if Triple Overdrive was used). Within a few hours of gaining these levels quickly, you should be able to complete on the characters entire Sphere Grid.

Complete the Village Of The Cactuars side quest, then equip as many people as possible with weapons that have the Double AP, Triple AP option. Have everyone in your party use a skill. For example, Tidus with Cheer, Yuna with Pray, etc. Have Auron perform Zombie Break on the Cactuars. If it is successful, it does a 100% Overkill.

The best place to train, is at the Sea Of Sorrow. More AP can be gained here than anywhere else, and the enemies are not as difficult as in Omega Ruins.

Have a weapon that has Triple Overdrive, Triple AP, and Overdrive > AP. Set Overdrive to Stoic and fight Don Tonberry. Attack him with the weapon, then he will kill you. Revive that character then repeat the process until you kill him. You will get 30 to 80 Sphere levels.

To get easy AP early in the game, have Tidus learn Cheer. When you battle Sin for the first time on the boat to Kilika, instead of attacking Sin have Tidus use Cheer on himself, Wakka, and Kimahri. Then, repeatedly attack the blue that Sin sends at you. Make sure you use Lulu and Yuna at least once so they also get some AP. If you do this long enough, you can get at least 20 levels up per hour.

Hint: Easy Sphere levels:
Catch all the monsters in the Calm Lands and then get the Chimerageist at the Monster Arena and fight it multiple times. Along with normal levels, you will get Return Spheres. Go to the Sphere Grid and use Return Spheres to go to an already activated Sphere with an un-activated one next to it. Activate it and use the Return Spheres to move to it. Repeat this to get as many as desired and keep fighting Chimerageist to get more Spheres and Dark Matter.

Hint: Save a Sphere level:
You must have a Return Sphere. Go to the node that you used, then use the Return Sphere.

Hint: Getting the last Music Sphere:
After purchasing all the Music Spheres (#1 to #68), talk to the man again and he will offer the last three Music Spheres, which are #69 Hum Of The Fayth, #70 Lulu's Theme, and #71 Wakka's Theme, for 40,000 gil.

Hint: Exceed Max Damage:
With this ability equipped on your weapon, you can hit for a maximum of 99,999 instead of only 9,999. You need 60 Dark Matter. You can win these from many of the special battle fights at the Monster Trainer. When you equip this ability on a weapon, the name of the weapon changes as well.

Hint: Exceed Max HP:
This ability equipped in your armor will allow you to have more than 9,999 HP. It is very difficult to raise your HP very far past 9,999, even if you use the additional abilities of HP +30% and similar methods. To gain the Exceed Max HP ability, you need 30 Wings Of Heaven. To gain these items, use the Wairu (Bribe) command. If you bribe the Maruboru in Nagi Plains/Calm Lands and pay the 540,000 gil, he will leave behind two to four Wings of Heaven. You also can get 30 of them for capturing 10 of every enemy for one area of the game.

Hint: Break HP Limit:
Get the airship (after the battle with Yunalesca), go to search and enter the coordinates for the Omega Ruins(X: 74, Y: 36). Make your way through the ruins until you fight Omega Weapon's shadow. Then, go to the little transporter in front of you. It will take you to another world. Fight your way to the purple light. Having Tidus's Calabolg at maximum power is recommended. It will defeat Omega Weapon's true form quickly. After the battle, you will receive the Genji Sheild. It has the Break HP Limit, which will allow you to surpass 9999 HP.

Hint: Easy Wings To Discovery:
To get 60 Wings To Discovery without bribing Malabro or Great Malabro, first capture all the monsters in Mt. Gagazet. Then, capture all the monsters in the Calm Lands. Go to the Monster Arena Trainer and talk to him once. Do not fight the arena creation. A chest containing Yuna's best weapon will drop down . Open it, then talk to the trainer again. Do not fight the arena creation. He will give you some items. Talk to him again for the 60 Wings To Discovery. If he does not give it to you, keep talking to him until he does.

Capture about four of each Water Fiend in Gagazet then go talk to the Monster Arena Trainer. He will have made a monster. You have to fight it underwater. It has 2,000,000 health and if you overkill it, you get 2 Wings To Discovery.

Hint: Tidus: Easy experience:
To get Tidus to level up faster, get his double AP weapon which is located in Sanubia Desert (12-16, 41-45). With this weapon, you will be able to level up faster and can get to the ability that you want to learn.

Hint: Tidus: Get Blitzace sooner:
Get Tidus the Overdrive victor, so that every five battles you win you can use an Overdrive. Fight somewhere you know you can win battles quickly to charge the Overdrive up. Use the Overdrive enough times to get Blitzace.

Hint: Wakka: Overdrive:
Wakka's Overdrive is Slots. When the screen appears, press X and get three of the same colored circles.

The power of Wakka's Overdrive does not depend on the color of the slot he gets. It is based on elemental damage: yellow for lighting, blue for water, red for fire, and white for ice.

Hint: Best place to train:
The best place to train in is the Zanarkand Ruins-Cordor area. This is because you get the same amount of AP from here as from Omega Ruins even though they are weak enemies. The monsters at Omega Ruins are more difficult.

Hint: Easier Chocobo handling:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and your Chocobo will be easier to steer.

Hint: Besaid Island Village: Hidden Overdrive:
Go to the left of the temple. Talk to the kid and he will go to the shop. Follow him. When he enters the shop, talk to him and he will give you Valefor's second Overdrive, Energy Blast.

Hint: Bickanel Island: Cactaur games:
Go to Bickanel Island. Go to the farthest screen right before home. There is a stone similar to the ones in the Thunder Plains. Talk to it and it will tell you to find a Cactaur and then another. There are ten in all. When you play their games, try to catch them then use magic on it when you fight it. Do not hit it with physical attacks -- it will dodge them.

Hint: Bickanel Island: Special items:
When you reach "Home" on Bikanel Island, follow Rikku down to the corridor. Do not go through the door on your left until you have gotten the items. First, go to the right and you will find an seemingly empty hall. Go up to get the first treasure, six Al Bhed potions. Come down and go to the right some more and to find two doors on your right. You cannot go through the malfunctioned door. Your only choice is the other door. Before going inside, get the Al Bhed Primer in the corner just beside the door. Go inside and defeat the Guado Guard and Chimeras. There are two treasures there (one is hidden). First, go to the one that you can see. It will ask for a combination and give you hints on what the numbers are. Next, find the hidden one, just beside the flames on the ground. It will ask a series of questions. For the first question, "Are You Al Bhed?", select the third choice. The second question is "Name the son of the Al Bhed leader". Answer "Brother". The third question is "On what island do the Al Bhed live?". Chose "Bikanel Island". The last question is "What is Al Bhed in Al Bhed". Choose the first choice to obtain the treasure. Next, go back up the steps and enter the room on the left. Fight the Guado Guard and Dual Horns to progress. The first treasure box will say something about being the "Treasure Chest of Dreams". Choosing an item is up to you. At the second chest you will be asked to translate a series of words in Al Bhed. Answer accordingly: Sorry (second to last choice); Wait (last choice on second row); Pardon (second choice on second row).

Hint: Bickanel Island: Alternate way to find Al Bhed Primer I:
Once you have full control of the airship, go to Bikanel Island and look around until you find a small book. Pick it up and it says "Al Bhed Primer I".

Hint: Besaid Temple: Hidden treasure:
Go to the right and touch the glyph, then go downstairs and get the Glyph Sphere. Put it in the door at the lower level. After the door opens, go down the hall to the second slot and touch the wall across form the small altar. Take the sphere out and put it in the first slot down the hall. After the section opens. take the Destruction Sphere out and put it in the large room where you got the Besaid Sphere. A section will blow up. Get the treasure, then proceed to the Chamber Of Fayth to get the rest of the treasures.

Hint: Bikanel Island: Cactaur games:
Go to the farthest screen right before home. There is a stone similar to the ones in the Thunder Plains. Talk to it and it will tell you to find a Cactaur and then another. There are ten in all. When you play their games, try to catch them then use magic on it when you fight it. Do not hit it with physical attacks -- it will dodge them.

Hint: Bikanel Island: Home message:
As you proceed through the Al Bhed home, a constant message is blaring through the loudspeaker. The message sounds like it is saying "I'm annoying, huh?".

Hint: Calm Lands: Easy AP:
In order to do the following trick, you must have the airship, all of the Thunder Plain monsters, the Overdrive=AP ability on your weapons, a lot of Phoenix Downs, the overdrive mode on "Stoic" or "Comrade" (or you will not get the experience), and Auto-Phoenix (recommended). Go to Calm Lands and make sure you have your Overdrive=AP weapons on. Go over to the arena, and play against Cactuar King (in Zone Conquer). When the battle starts, immediately cast Hastega on your party. Cactuar should make his first attack. If not, have the character use a move that will hit Cactuar King, and that character is set for the battle. If Cactuar King attacked, use a Pheonix Down on whoever died, then attack. Watch your timing -- If he has a turn immediately after yours, fix anything you have to, but do not attack. This will make this match very difficult, because he will kill two characters. Make sure your Limit setting is either on Stoic, or Comrade, so his 100,000 damage translates into that much AP. Assuming that you hit him with all the characters you want to gain levels, continue to do a Phoenix Down, Guard, Phoenix Down, Guard, and after you have had enough, you can run, you can kill him, or he will run. You should have at least 100,000 AP after the battle. After the battle, buy more Phoenix Downs, save, use levels, and then do it again.

Hint: Calm Lands: Easy monster captures:
Find the Monster Arena owner. Buy a weapon from him. Go and fight lots of Anacondours and steal 60 Petrify Grenades from them. Customize the weapon with Stonestrike. Capture all the monsters that you need in the Calm Lands. Talk to the Monster Arena owner. He will give you a chest with Nirvana, Yuna's legendary weapon. You cannot open it without the Celestial Mirror. Talk to the man. He will give you 60 Farplane Winds. Customize your weapon with these to get Deathstrike. Now almost any monster can be captured in one move.

Hint: Chamber Of The Fayth: Items:
After Master Mika "leaves", fly back to every Cloister Of Trials in the game, and make your way to the Chamber Of The Fayth. Once there, you will get new intermission sequences and at least four very rare and useful items in the treasure chests.

Hint: Djose Temple: Hidden treasure:
Solve the bottom floor as normal, then before going to the next floor, go left and touch the glyph there to take the Destruct
