Hint: Jump further:
On every ramp or jump is a fuzzy line towards the top. Before you get to the ramp, hold Up until you get to the fuzzy line. At that exact moment, hold Down to pull back. If done correctly, you should go further than usual. This may require some practice. On Freestyle mode on the ramp that has letters, pull back at the end of the last letter.
